ICT Information Communication Technology 

Youth and women need accurate and reliable information; right strategies and tools for engage themselves and community in general. However, many still lack access to information, skills and Internet services. For example, computer is given less attention and taught as a package. In the end, wide gender-digital gap is experienced, unemployment and general under-development. Bridging this gap, we identify, partner and link youth and women with opportunities and programs that enable them to advance in ICT. Key partners include Kaggle, Ajira, DOT Kenya, Technnovation Girls among others.

2. E-Learning Platforms:

  • Online Resources: Develop and promote e-learning platforms that provide access to educational materials, interactive lessons, and virtual classrooms.
  • Teacher Support: Train teachers to utilize e-learning tools to enhance their teaching methods and engage students effectively.

3. Early Warning Systems:

  • Disaster Preparedness: Implement ICT-based early warning systems to alert communities about impending natural disasters such as floods and storms.
  • Community Training: Educate community members on how to use these systems to stay informed and prepared for emergencies.

4. Health Information Systems:

  • Telemedicine: Promote telemedicine services to connect remote communities with healthcare professionals, improving access to medical advice and treatment.
  • Health Education: Use ICT platforms to disseminate health education materials and information on preventive measures.

5. Economic Development:

  • Market Access: Develop digital platforms to connect farmers and local producers with broader markets, enabling them to sell their products at fair prices.
  • Online Training: Offer online courses in entrepreneurship, financial literacy, and business management to empower community members economically.

The organization was established in 2011 in Homa Bay County as an empowerment program themed “Supporting Primary Education among Kenyans- SPEAK” by five widows who were victims and survivors of gender based violence, teenage pregnancy and HIV.
